I'm considering Somfy RTS based roller shades for windows in my house. Does anyone have experience with one over the other for this use case? Is the setup through HomeAssistant capable of that i. However, it doesn't seem to report position of the shades. I'm able to open, close and stop but not able to increment to a specific point.

I believe this could be done to one preset location setting the Somfy "my" position and simply sending the stop command when they're not in motion but I haven't tried this as I either leave mine fully open or closed. I don't know if you'd get the positioning reports if you're going straight over RTS.

I have tried learning the RF codes with my Broadlink but it doesn't want to learn them, I read that this was because Somfy use rolling codes? I havey somfy blinds, but I haven't tried connecting them to home assistant yet. I've just been using the remote and that's actually been enough for me at the moment with so many other home projects going on at the same time.

If I do try one of them out I'll get back to you. Yes I am the same most other things in my house are now automated so thought I would try these.

If the problem persists, please contact our technical support team. The only thing I'm that could get Somfy reliably working was there bond hub and it's integration. Is this the connexoon hub? I'm using the connexoon to control a RTS garage door. I had success using the Tahoma intergration, but I thought perhaps the somfy method might work better.

The Tahoma option with the connexoon pulls in the garage door actions as 'scenes' rather than objects and although they do activate the door you cannot use them for anything else, like automations for example. Nope, I feel like none of the connexoon nor tahoma are available in the US. Just their WiFi one. Bond is a hub mostly designed for RF ceiling fans but also works with somfys rolling rts.

Automations work great. Well previously, and very recently, Tahoma was unavailable in the US. It clearly is now lol.GitHub is home to over 50 million developers working together to host and review code, manage projects, and build software together. Work fast with our official CLI. Learn more.
